How can I wear my silk scarf?

However you want! It's large enough to wear as a headwrap, tied to your tote bag, or styled as an accessory with your
favourite outfit. The beauty is in making it a part of your personality and vibe. One scarf, with plenty of ways to let your style ROAR.

Calendar of Culture & Weekly Planner

What is the Calendar of Culture & Weekly Planner?

More than a planner, it’s a year listing of
curated cultural, creative and community events across the Top 10 African diaspora nations, combined with a planner, that holds weekly space for you to plan, reflect, learn or journal.

Incorporating elements from our 10 Word Story initiative, these affirmations help provide moments for you to carve out time for self-care, while organising your life.

Who is the planner for?

It’s for anyone who wants their calendar to
feel a little more connected to their African diaspora culture.

Whether you’re a busy parent / family member, creative, culture lover, student, entrepreneur or simply someone who wants to make more space for reflection and discovery, this planner is designed to help you connect and create a more streamlined life.

When can I buy the planner?

The Calendar of Culture & Weekly Planner
is an annual product, with the next edition typically available from late October for the year ahead.

Artworks: Standard & Limited-Edition Prints

What is the difference between a standard print and a limited-edition print?

While both bring House of Nyabinghi’s visual storytelling into your interior space, there are some differences between the two options.

Standard prints are created for art lovers who want to enjoy a smaller sized artwork piece as part of their home or office environment, or as a gift at an affordable price point.

Limited-edition prints are produced at a larger size and in a defined quantity, making each edition more exclusive and collectible because the buyer receives a Certificate of Authenticity from the artist.

What are the artworks inspired by?

House of Nyabinghi's artworks draw from our heritage, culture, community, identity, music and contemporary life; reimagined through an Afrofuturism and Africanfuturism  lens.

All artwork pieces are designed to create a visual conversation between where we come from, where we are and where we could go next.

Do you deliver artworks outside the UK?

Currently, we only deliver across the UK.

We’re keeping our delivery footprint focused locally while global economic conditions continue to fluctuate.

If international delivery becomes available again in the future, we’ll announce it through our usual House of Nyabinghi channels.

10 Word Story

What is the 10 Word Story?

10 Word Story is House of
Nyabinghi’s annual creative writing initiative celebrating the art of short form storytelling.

Using one of House of Nyabinghi's brand pillars: Creativity, Heritage, Innovation, Love, or Ubuntu as the core of your story, the challenge is simple: tell us your creative story, thought, feeling or perspective in exactly 10 words. No more. No less.

When does the 10 Word Story initiative take place?

The initiative runs annually from 10
October to 10 November
.

Each year brings a new theme which links to that particular year's Black History Month (UK) overarching theme.

This gives participants a fresh invitation to reflect, create and share their 10 Word story perspective in an imaginative way.

Who can take part?

Anyone from the age of 10 years upwards.

The 10 Word Story is created as an opportunity for people to contribute their voice and perspective. You don’t need to be a professional writer or established creative.

If you have 10 words that evokes the theme and links to one of House of Nyabinghi's brand pillars, you have
a story to tell.

Participation details, the annual theme and submission criteria are announced ahead of each campaign commencing.

Sign-up to follow House of Nyabinghi and receive announcements on the campaign launch.
